Priorities
- Non-crypto focused firms preferred — tech, consumer, broader venture/alternatives
- LP-facing roles over direct dealflow
- Dubai-based or Dubai-present firms (Emirates ID is the immediate goal)
- Then UK, US — especially firms expanding into Gulf / have sent team to region
- Ideal: global VC with offices/interest in UAE → join in Dubai → transfer to London/US/EU in 5-6 months
Search Strategy
- Recent listings (last ~2-4 weeks)
- Include recruiter/headhunter firms specializing in VC/PE/FO placements
- Note key people at each firm (from public LinkedIn)
- Rate each opportunity by intro accessibility (does Ana know someone there?)
- Next step: develop CV, then outreach to firms + engage with their staff/newsletters/events
